You can get there just by ship from Palermo or, only in summer time, from Naples too.The nearest airport of Palermo is Falcone Borsellino and it is at 35 km from the city.
From Palermo
Every day by ferry (about 3 hours) of the Siremar to transport of passengers, cars and motorcycles.
Every day by hydrofoil (1 hour and 30 minutes) of the Libertylines to transport of passenger.
From april to october every day by catamaran (1 hour and 30 minutes) of Libertylines to transport passenger.
All monday and thusday with ferry (3 hours and 30 minutes) of the NGI to transport heavy machinery, vehicles and passengers.
From Naples, Favignana and Trapani
Summer weekly connecting with fast hydrofoils (4 hours and 15 or so) of Libertylines to transport passenger.
To move around the island
If you wish to go around the island you can both rent a scooter and go by bus. It makes the routes frequently going around the island.
